WEEK ONE
HEAD TO A SPECIFIC DAY'S ENTRY

DAY FIVE - 17/02/2006 - THE WEIGH IN
The show began with Bob's blue team in their team's gym. Bob explained that it was their "Last Chance" training session, the last training session that they were allowed before the next morning's weigh in. Wal and Harry were pushed by Bob. Bob said that he knows that they both will be able to drop big numbers on the scales this week.

Jillian told her team that she wanted everything from her team in their "Last Chance" workout. Red were also training in their red team gym. Jillian pushed her team to near-breaking-point in their training session.

Back with the blue team in their gym, the blue team felt that there was no chance that the red team worked as hard as they did in the last training session.

It was now the next day and weigh in time. The teams lined up in their seperate teams in the weigh in room, the audio and vision was interlaced with the last thoughts of each of the contestants; hoping, wishing and praying that enough had been done pre-weigh in.

The blue team began the competition with a combined weight of 880.7kg (1941lbs) and the red team began with a combined weight of 855.2kg (1885lbs). This series of the Biggest Loser was about the biggest percentage weight loss, rather that previous series which focused on the total weight loss.

Rather than alternating a person from each time. The red team weighed in first, and Ruth was the first amongst them to walk up to the scales. Ruth's starting weight was 155.2kgs (342lbs) her new weight is 150.4kgs (331lbs) which resulted in a weight loss of 4.8kgs (10.6 lbs). Ruth said the most she had previously lost when she's tried was 2 kilograms and she was thusly pleased at the result.

Kristie was next up, her starting weight was 104.8kgs (231lbs) and she weighed in this week at 95.4kgs (210lbs) which resulted in a 9.4kg (20.7lbs) weight loss. Kristie became emotional at the sight of her weight loss. She stated that she has never lost that much weight in her life, let alone a week. The red team's weight loss is 14.2kg after the first two contestants.

Shane was next up on the scales. Shane started off at 154.0kgs (340lbs) and after the first week now weighed in at 145.2kgs (320lbs) which was an 8.8kg (19.4lbs) weight loss.

David was up next with a starting weight of 196.7kg, David weighed in after one week at 189.3kg - losing 7.4kg. So far the red team has now lost 30.4kgs in total.

Adro took off his shirt and walked upto the scales when advised by AJ. Adro's starting weight was 136.5kg - his weight after a week is 128.8kg - a weight loss of 7.7kg (16.9lbs).Adro said he was happy with the scale's result and hoped it would make a difference to the team.

Jo was next to walk up to the scales. Her starting weight was 108.0kg (238lbs), her new weight is 101.8kg(224lbs) which resulted in a weight loss of 6.2kg (13.7lbs). The faces of the blue team were stone faced at the results that they had seen so far from the red side. Red's total weight loss was 44.3kgs - minus the 3kg penalty incurred left a total of 41.3kgs of weight lost

AJ announced the result for the red team and what the blue team had to achieve to avoid one of their team members from becoming eliminiated.

Cat was the first blue team member to be weighed. Cat started the competition at 157.8kgs (348lbs) and now weighed 151.0kgs (332lbs) which was a weightloss of 6.8kgs (15lbs).

The youngest and lightest contestand was the next person up to the scales. Fiona began at 101.1kg (221lbs) and now weighs 94.8kg (209lbs) - a weightloss of 6.3kg (13.9lbs) Fiona told everyone how surprised she was and she hadn't seen that weight on the scales for herself for quite some time.

Tracey was next up to the scales with a starting weight of 109.8kg (242lbs) and ending up this week at 103.6kg (228lbs) - a 6.2kg weight loss (13.7lbs).

Artie was the next blue team member to walk up to the scales. Artie's starting weight was 156.4kg, Artie's weight was now 147.8kg (326lbs) which meant Artie had lost 8.6kg (19lbs). Artie was shocked at the figures, asking AJ if the scales were right, to which she responded they were. Artie said "I've lost eight dollars before, but never eight kilos."

Harry was next up to the scales for the blue team. Harry's starting weight was 178.9kg (394lbs)and he weighed in this week at 166.7kg (368lbs) which has resulted in a 12.2kg (27lbs) weight loss. Harry teared up at the sight of his weight loss and said how much he loved his family.

Wal was the final contestant to head up to the scales. Wal began the competition at 176.7kgs (390lbs) and now weighed in at 161.2kgs (355lbs)which is a staggering weight loss of 15.5kg (34lbs) weight loss in a single week.

Blue had won this week's weigh in, much to the shock and disappointment of the red team. Shane stared Wal down and Wal was cocky at the blue team's triumph.

Unfortunately for the red team, they now faced the prospect of losing one of their team members. We won't however find out who will be eliminated until Monday nights show.

Before the closing credits, we find out that Bob has had to return to America and that Jillian might face the prospect of training both teams.

DAY FOUR - 16/02/2006
The program began in its usual fashion with the "previously on The Biggest Loser" which highlighted what has happened and what's to come tonight.

Tonight's show began with Jillian and the red team in the gymnasium. Jillian gave her team a mouthful for taking part in the temptation challenge. She told her team as she forced them to work hard in the gym that it was an "idiot thing to do." Jillian exclaimed "you play, you pay" to Jo (who had the chocolate cake) as she pointed to the Les Mills-esque plastic step.

Jillian walked around the room asking each of the her team members "was it worth it?" in a stern voice. Each replied "no," to which Jillian replied "good, don't do it again!"

Ruth raced to the toilet during the red team's session in the gym. The other team members said that she could hear her vomiting, which Ruth confirmed in the later voice-over interview that she vomited three times. Adro raised the fear with Jillian that Ruth was pregnant, as Ruth also vomited after she woke up, something Ruth told Adro that she hadn't feel sick in the way that she does since she was pregnant. Jillian said with a worried look on her face "if she's pregnant, she's out."

The vision changed to the blue team, as a reward for not succumbing to temptation in yesterday's challenge, Bob took his team to one of Sydney's beaches for some R&R. Bob said that he took them out as a morale booster and to unify his team after yesterday's challenge success.

Back to the red team gymnasium, Jillian advised Ruth that she needed to see the medic. She advised if she is pregnant that she would have to go home. Jillian said if Ruth was pregnant, there would be a high chance of her miscarrying due to the amount of physical strain she was placing on her body. In the medic's room Jillian asked Ruth why she thought that she was pregnant, to which Ruth told Jillian what she had told Adro before. Ruth began crying as she didn't want to be pregnant, nor did she want to lose the opportunity to train with Jillian. She was also sad because she didn't want to lose out on any workout time because she was (in Ruth's words) "so fat."

The vision changed to Ruth leaving the medic's room, where Jillian was waiting outside. Ruth told Jillian, "Nope, not pregnant." Jillian immediately hugged Ruth as they both shared in the happy moment. In the voice-over interview Jillian said that Ruth needed to be here right now and she thanked god she wasn't pregnant. Jillian was relieved at the outcome of the test.

The contestants were woken up the next day before dawn and were carted off to meet with AJ by the North Sydney olympic-sized pool, which overlooks Sydney harbour. The teams were told by AJ that their next challenge was that each team had to race to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The team that wins the challenge will either have the choice of having a 2 hour lunch at the pool-side restaurant "Aqua Dining" or spend 2 hours training hard in the olympic-sized pool. The losing team must take up the activity the winners decline plus will incur a 3 kilogram penalty at this week's weigh in.

The blue team were first to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Cat was placed first in the climb by her team as she was the team member who had the greatest fear of heights. Cat panicked just over half way during the bridge climb, she was motivated to continue by Wal who was standing directly behind her. Wal managed to coax Cat to continue after her brief moment of panic. Cat and the rest of the blue team were relieved when they reached the top of the bridge.

The red team was second to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Adro explained to his team he had a fear of heights. Red's weakest link was David who struggled to breathe during the bridge climb. At a few moments, David stopped briefly. David was encouraged to continue by Shane and his other team members.

The red team reached the top and a paramedic went over to David and placed an oxygen mask over his face. The sight of seeing David wear an oxygen mask overwhelmed Jo and Kristie.

AJ greeted both teams at the top. Red's time was 12 minutes and 59 seconds to reach the top, while the Blue team's time was 11 minutes and 37 seconds. Blue won the challenge and showed their joy by cheering and smiling and waving their blue "The Biggest Loser" flags in the wind.

The blue team chose to spend the two hours eating brunch in the restaurant. The red team therefore had two hours to swim in the pool, which gave them time to work out off their 3 kilogram penalty.

The blue team heckled the red team as the peered over the balcony to watch the reds working in the pool. The blue team ate their meals, passing on the white bread rolls and passing on the parfait desserts as the episode ended.

During the credits the following disclaimer was added by producers in the tiniest of fonts:
"The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb included in this program was carried out under controlled circumstances and for dramatic effect, oxygen was administered to one of the contestants as a precautionary measure only. Due to his extreme lack of fitness and general physical condition and not because of any inherent risk, or sufferance of exertion or distress specifically with the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb."
In hindsight, this disclaimer does seem rather silly. But I guess they don't want to put people off from attempting to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb.

DAY THREE- 15/02/2006
At the start of tonight's show we again started with the "previously on The Biggest Loser" that feels like will be a common beginning for the show every night.

At the beginning of tonight's show Bob and Jillian both decided to visit the house and wake up their teams at 6.30am. Vision of the blue team's bedroom was first with Bob switching on the lights and clapping his hands together and saying "time to wake up" to get his team out of bed. Bob also grabbed at Cat's love handles, making light hearted fun of them in order to get her out of bed.

The vision then change to the red bedroom. Jillian had mounted Shane and was straddling him to wake him up. From his voiceover, it seemed that Shane enjoyed having Jillian wake him up. Jillian woke David up by talking to him and running her fingers through his hair. Jillian went into the girl's bedroom and learnt about the calorie challenge that they won.

Bob took his team down to the main gym for a circuit workout. Fiona was struggling to do the squats as instructed with the medicine ball. Harry said he was struggling to hold his weight with his arms. Wal's turn was next with the medicine ball, he performed the same routine that Fiona was asked to do, but could actually do the full squatting motion.

Bob gave Wal extra attention in the gym, Bob said that Wal had a lot of potential and was adding extra to his routine, more resistance and more repetitions. From watching Wal's interactions with Bob, it looked like Wal was very angry and upset with Bob for pushing him so hard. You could see that it looked like Wal wanted to hurt Bob with the look in his eyes.

Jillian took her team for a light jog around the grounds. It seemed more like a brisk walk than a jog from how the red team acted. David struggled with the jog and could only manage a walk. Adro attempted to fall back to David and motivate him, instead Jillian told Adro to get up with the group and she went back to Dave in an attempt to motivate him.

Back with the blue team, it seems that Wal is already telling people in the team who to vote off. It seems that every other person in the team was told a different person by Wal to vote off. Bob had to pull Wal back into line to stop him from telling others in his team who to vote for.

Both teams were taken in two vans to their next challenge. None of the contestants were advised where they were going. The contestants were taken to an aircraft hanger which was surrounded by light planes. The contestants were afraid that their next challenge was that they would have to parachute from a plane....

The contestants lined up in a single line in front of the door, red then blue, red then blue, etc. The giant door of the aircraft hanger opened and AJ stood in front of a table with six plates covered with a silver dome. AJ stated that under the 6 platters, 1 platter contained immunity, 3 platters contained "something good for you and 2 platters contained something bad, one a serving of rich calorie-filled chocolate cake and the other a greasy fat-filled hamburger with chips. For those who are unlucky enough to uncover either of the two plates with the unhealthy food, they would be forced to immediately eat the entire serving of food.

No one in the blue team wanted to take the risk to be in the challenge Several of the red team took the risk - Adro, Jo and David were the first to select a plate. Kristie and Ruth from the red team both stepped up and selected a plate before the time expired, while several of the blue team were heckling the red team for taking up the challenge. Shane was the only team member for the red team not to select a plate.

Time to unveil what each plate contained. Kristie was first, she unveiled a plate which contained $100 in the form of 5 x $20 notes. Adro was next, he lifted the lid to reveal a large hamburger with bed, bacon, beef patty, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and a large serving of fries. Adro was forced to eat the burger and fries before the challenge continued. David was next, revealing a Samsung MP3 player on his plate. Ruth lifted her silver lid to reveal an IMMUNITY card on her plate. Jo had a 1 in 2 chance of having the piece of chocolate cake under her lid, and unlucky for her, she did have the chocolate cake. Jo was forced to eat the large piece of cake there and then in front of the others from both teams. Much to the dismay of the others, Jo acted like she was enjoying eating the cake, to try and get a psychological edge over the blue team. This seemed to backfire with her team mates as they were questioning her motivations in enjoying the cake,

The episode ended with the blue team posing for the camera around a trophy case in unison saying "red is dead."

DAY TWO- 14/02/2006
Tonight the program started with the formidable "previously on The Biggest Loser" which recapped the introductions from day one and gave brief snippets of what's due to happen on tonight's program.

The results of who Jillian and Bob picked for their respective teams was announced. Jillian and Bob flipped an Australian coin to determine who would have the first pick, it was amusing when Bob couldn't work out which side was heads. Jillian won the coin toss with Bob incorrectly calling heads when he flipped the coin.

Jillian first picked Kristie for her red team. Bob picked Cat as his second pick. Bob said his rationale was that "she was the biggest girl, so I had to pick her."

Jillian's next pick was Shane. Jillian said she just "knew" that she wanted Shane on her team. Bob's next pick was Wal, he said that "he wanted a big strong guy" and that he is "a hero that needs to get back into shape." Jillian used her next choice to pick Ruth. Jillian used the rationale that Ruth "is all heart" after selecting her.

Bob next picked Tracy and stated she is "full of energy." David was Jillian's next pick. She said that she felt he was in need of fixing. Harry was Bob's next pick and Adro was Jillian's pick soon after. Jillian pointed at Adro and in a loud voice said "I needed some MUSCLE!!" Jillian then told Adro to drop and give her 10 pushups. It seemed at first like Adro thought she was joking, however she wasn't. Adro did the pushups as instructed and Jillian seemed pleased with his efforts.

Artie was Bob's next pick and from the two left, Jillian took Jo. Fiona was the last pick, as she was the smallest of all of the contestants.

Jillian said she doesn't care if she wins or loses the competition, she said that she just wanted to be with the people that she felt that she could help the most. She also said she hopes that her team teaches her something in return.

After the commercial break, Jillian took her team into one of the gymnasiums and introduced her team to the cardio machines - the cross trainer and the treadmill. While her team was struggling to walk the treadmills, she asked "ARE YOU A MEMBER OF MY READ TEAM?" to which her team mates replied with some agony "yes."

After the cardio session, Shane was overcome by a cold sweat and felt nauseous. He was led out to the garden where he threw up in the flower bed much to the adulation of Jillian who was proud of him. Jillian explained in the voiceover why she was proud of Shane throwing up.

Meanwhile, Bob was becoming acquainted with his team for the first time in the gardens. Bob started his team off with a lap around the house and then forced his team into military style calisthenics. After this, he told Fiona and Wal to jog another lap of the house, during which Fiona became overwhelmed and hyperventilated.

Bob said that he hoped that tomorrow everyone of his blue team members wakes up sore. It seemed he wasn't trying to be sadistic but he wanted his team to achieve.

Back with Jillian's red team. The cameras visited them again, still in the gymnasium but doing some cool down stretches. Kristie revealed that earlier this year, that she gave birth to a premature baby that has subsequently passed away. Kristie, Jo and Jillian all became emotional from Kristie's story, after which Jillian consoled Kristie and gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

After the commercial break, we went back to Bob's camp who was now in the kitchen. Bob revealed his eating plan for his team which he wanted them to use was no high-starch carbohydrates and "absolutely no" fruit.

Jillian advised her team of her eating plan which is more calories out then what her team is taking in. Jillian's team sat in a half circle and each team member was told how many calories they could consume on a daily basis.

Each of Jillian's team members was given a calorie count book. Jillian set Kristie on 1300-1350 daily calories, Ruth was given 1500 calories. David was given 2000 calories. Jillian told her team they can each eat the naughty treats they enjoy, but they will need to sacrifice a large amount of low calorie food for a high calorie treat.

AJ was waiting for both teams outside with their first challenge. Bob and Jillian weren't around to influence the teams. The two teams were separated, standing in a straight line, facing a table which contained 12 plates of food. One contestant from each team went head to head and the aim was to pick an item from the table which was lower in calories than their opponent picked. The losing team for the challenge are to be the slaves of the winning team for 24 hours.

First up for the red team was Shane versus Wal for the blue team. Shane quickly moved and picked up the Caesar salad (with caesar dressing) while Wal guided by his fellow team mates went for the two scoops of ice cream and jelly. SCORE ONE POINT - blue. Wal's ice cream was 176 calories (737Kj) while Shane's Caesar salad and dressing was 386 calories (1616Kj.)

Next up was Tracy for the blue team and Kristie for the red team. Both tried to dive for the grilled fish and salad (no dressing) with boiled potato. Tracy succeeded in grabbing the plate. Kristie as her second choice grabbed the chocolate muffin. SCORE ONE POINT - blue. Tracy's grilled fish and salad contained 254 calories (1063 Kj) while Kristie's muffin contained 547 calories (2290Kj). Score BLUE 2 - RED 0

Up next for the blue was Fiona while Jo was the red team's challenger. Both tried to dive for the hot dog and Jo managed to use her big body to her advantage to push Fiona away. Fiona instead grabbed the meat pie with sauce as her second choice. Fiona's meat pie was 454 calories (1901Kj) but Jo scored red's first point with the hot dog being 374 calories (1566Kj). Score BLUE 2 - RED 1

Heat number four, Ruth for the red side and Cat for the blues. Cat and Ruth both had a little shove with each other as they went for the table. Ruth managed to grab the full english breakfast (sausage, baked beans, grilled tomato, fried ago, bacon, fried toast) which came to 703 calories (2943Kj) while Cat's choice of Indian curry and a piece of naan bread... this came to 787 calories (3295 Kj). The blue team were shocked and the red team was elated. Score BLUE 2 - RED 2.

With the scores tied at two a piece; it was David (red) up against Artie (blue). Artie raced to the table and grabbed the spaghetti bolognaise while Dave calmly strolled to the table and picked up the chinese sweet and sour fish. Artie's spag bog with parmesan cheese came to 1010 calories (4229 Kj) (the highest of any meal so far). Dave's chinese sweet and sour fish with a serve of fried rice came to 681 calories (2851Kj). Red was now in front! Score BLUE 2 - RED 3.

The last heat was Adro (red) up against Harry (blue). Harry grabbed the pizza and Adro grabbed the fish and chips. Adro said in his voice over that from a distance it looked like it could have been a vegetarian pizza with tomato pizza sauce and a thin base. Adro's serve of fish and chips was 791 calories (3312Kj) while Harry's meat pizza was 1591 calories (6661 Kj),. Red won the challenge - 4 points to 2.

Back in the red team's quarters there was some animated discussion as to what they would make the blue team do in the 24 hours of slavery. The red team had the blue team do their housework and give each of their team a massage and a pedicure.

DAY TWO 14/02/2006- Rove Live appearance (Bob & Jillian)

Later at 9:30pm Bob and Jillian appeared on the Australian comedy chat show "Rove Live" on the couch with Rove McManus in Melbourne. Rove introduced Bob and Jillian. Bob appeared on the show wearing a pair of blue denim jeans, black leather shoes, and a blue-grey long sleeved shirt with the cuffs rolled up to his elbows. Jillian wore a tan coloured halter neck top, light blue jeans and knee-high black leather kitten boots. Jillian had her hair down, with part over her shoulder.

Jillian sat down on the couch next to Rove, touched her hand to his chin and whispered that he was sexy. Rove (being a married man) turned to Bob and gestured towards the large bowl of skittles on the table and asked him... "how many calories Bob?" Bob quickly replied (almost like he was expecting the question) "seven." Rove questioned how Bob knew the answer so quickly, Bob responded by saying that they each have a number of people they need to help lose weight and they depend on them to know those types of things.

Rove's next question was about how they both were finding Australia so far. Jillian giggled and Bob said that everything has been fantastic and that everyone has been nice, honest and genuine. Rove asked "aren't people like that at home," to which the audience laughed. Bob quickly said "no" and Jillian again giggled, shook her head and said "no." Bob explained that Americans are very loud. Rove agreed saying that what Bob said was true and that Americans are loud and annoying, again to the amusement of the audience.

Rove next questioned Jillian on her calorie controlled diet and her revelation earlier tonight how she can eat chocolate every day and not get fat. Jillian said she goes to the gym for two hours every day since being in Australia and now she feels she can eat "whatever the hell" she wants. Jillian then went on to say as she did earlier in the night that it was all about the maths, to burn more calories than what you consume. Rove then asked "do you need to be good at maths?" to which Jillian again giggled. Bob answered "yes, you do" and that you also need to show discipline if you want to lose weight.

Rove threw Bob a question he thought he might not know, "how many calories are there in Vegemite?" Bob thought for a moment and responded "about four," Rove's response was "aaah damn" again to the laughs of the studio audience. Bob said that he now has Vegemite for breakfast "every single morning" since being in Australia.

Rove turned to Jillian and asked her how in series one of the US version of "The Biggest Loser" how she showed her team photos of when she was a larger woman. Jillian said how she disliked how everyone keeps asking her about that and Bob in an act of showing false empathy, popped his arm around her for a moment before taking it away and laughing. Jillian said that she was only about 25 kilograms heavier than what she is today and said that Bob keeps making out like she was much heavier than what she was. Jillian said she was overweight but never obese and that getting into martial arts spurred her weight loss.

Rove said "I guess it must make it easier to help people lose weight when you've been there." Jillian disagreed, she said the show was about the contestants and not them. Bob said that some of the audience that watches the show is looking for an easy way out without doing the hard work.

Rove said that "Australians are lazy" to which Bob responded, "no, laid back" to which again Rove said "seriously, Australians are lazy." Rove said Australians don't get the irony of sitting on the couch watching The Biggest Loser while eating a bowl of potato chips. Jillian then said again "no, laid back."

Rove asked how the Australian contestants have differed from the American contestants so far. Bob said the Americans seem to work out all day and need to be told when to stop while the Australians don't want to work out and are like "if you don't work out, then I won't work out," to which the audience then again laughed. The vision cut to video of the contestants walking out to their first challenge that was aired earlier in the evening. Jillian and Bob both stated how they had to sit down with the contestants and tell them to get their acts together and start working out.

Rove quickly changed the subject, asking how each of them take to each other's training styles. Rove said that Jillian came across as a bully while Bob comes across as a peace loving hippy. Jillian stated Bob's a huge 6 foot 3 and she is a tiny 5 foot 2, at which Bob chuckled. Jillian took the example of how they both had to speak to all of the Australian contestants about getting them into the gym, as they all seemingly would have rather sat around and watched television. Bob was calm, appealing to their maturity and Jillian said she felt like she could kill one of them if they all didn't get their asses into the gym.

Off-camera, Peter Hellier injected and introduced himself, stating he was a fitness fantastic (Peter is a short chubby bloke) to which the audience again laughed. Peter said that he was one of the few fat people on television and that strangely all were on channel ten... himself, Toadie and Ian Hewitson. Peter asked "any chance of a Celebrity Biggest Loser?" Jillian and Bob both responded "oh god I hope not" and shook their heads. Bob said that it would be too exhausting.

Rove then gave the outro to Bob and Jillian, reminded the audience when they can watch The Biggest Loser and thanked them both for coming onto the show..

At the beginning of the show, we were introduced to each of the shows contestants as they strolled down the path to the house and their initial thoughts.

The host of the Australian version of The Biggest Loser is  AJ Rochester. She stated when she greeted the contestants that she has lost 65 kilograms and dropped from a size 28 to a size 12 (Australian sizing).

The aim of the game is to lose weight (obviously) and the winner at the end of the game will need to have the biggest percentage weight loss from their starting weight. There will only be one winner. The prize money on offer is $200,000 for the winner.

The house has 4 gyms, a weigh in room and an elimination room, not at all dissimilar from the US versions of the show.

The contestants entered the sprawling house, only to find i completely empty. The contestants were forced to unload 3 removalist trucks full of brand new furniture. Wal took charge and supervised the moving of the furniture from the trucks into the house. The moving process took the contestants until nightfall.

After filling the house with furniture, it was time for the evening meal. The contestants were each led blindfolded to the dining room individually, where a a plate sat beneath a silver dome lid.

The contestants removed their blindfolds at AJ's instruction at which point she said, "ladies and gentlemen, we have a surprise for you.". The waiters and waitresses removed the silver dome lids from their plates. All contestants were shocked to see each of their favourite foods sitting on a plate in front of them.

AJ then smiled, ” and if this isn’t enough to satisfy your appetite, this will be plenty more,” and 3 curtains surrounding the table dropped to reveal plate upon plate of desserts, cakes, lollypops, ice cream, mousse and beer!

Most contestants then gorged themselves with the "last supper." Wal had several thick steaks on his plate and began eating these with his fingers! He picked up the steaks without using his knife or fork and stuffed them down his throat, much to the disgust of other contestants. Wal said his name stood for "Watch And Learn" as he took another large bite of the steak with his mouth, peeling the two inch thick steak from the bone.

Many of the contestants said they felt sick from the display of the other contestants and no longer felt hungry. Some contestants were filled with remorse after dinner, several cried when they realised what they had been doing to themselves for many years.

The contestants were then taken to one of the gyms and briefly introduced to several pieces of equipment they will be getting acquainted with. AJ then announced they would be having their first weigh in and their "starting" weights would be discovered and recorded. The contestants were deeply distraught to have their weight revealed on national television, as many had kept this information hidden from even their closest friends and some had rounded their weight down in the past.

As the contestants settled in, they were excited to find out that they would be meeting Bob and Jillian, who were given this poem :
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
In a twist of the game,
The teams are picked by you!"

Bob and Jillian chatted with each of the contestants and picked their respective teams.
The first hour-long episode came to an end.
